The Templeton Unified School District is shuffling around to fill vacant positions left by recent resignations. Superintendent Deborah Bowers has announced she will step down after her contract expires at the end of June. The school board is considering whether to fill the position with an interim superintendent or through a new hire.
Vineyard Elementary School's Interim Principal Donn Shallenberger and Templeton High School Principal John Lormer are also calling it quits.
It's unclear if the three resignations are linked to the district's budget problems. The district must cut $1 million from its budget over the next year.
