According to a media representative for the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District, the driver and student who were injured in a bus crash Wednesday are doing better.
Officials say the driver is recovering nicely, but her face is still swollen. Hospital workers hope to get her up and walking Friday, and school officials say she could be released from the hospital this weekend.
School officials say a student who was injured in the accident is also recovering nicely. Hospital workers hope she will be up and walking Friday as well. The hospital still needs to see how she responds to physical therapy before they release her.
