Students at Adam Elementary School in Santa Maria are stuffing the bus for a worthy cause.

The school is teaming up with Ralph Dunlap School and the Kiwanis Club of Santa Maria Valley to collect items for the community. Some of those items include toiletries, non-perishable food, clothing, school supplies, and pet food. Buses were parked at elementary schools, the J.C. Penney Parking lot, and other locations throughout the community.

"It actually helps people have food and to live better," said K Kids Club President Peter Lucas.

The items will benefit the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County, the Good Samaritan Shelter, the Red Cross, and the Humane Society in Santa Maria.
