Lompoc fire investigators believe a serial arsonist is on the loose after another fire breaks out.
It happened just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of South H Street.
A man says he woke up to find his Volkswagon bug on fire.
Officials believe the person who lit the car on fire could be responsible for other fires around the city.
Just last a week someone lit a mattress on fire between a car and a boat, both were destroyed.
"This whole ally was just lit up, that's how big the flames were just lit, and I pretty much freaked out and got angry," said Daryl Garviso, whose Volkswagon is a total loss.
The flames were put out before reaching a nearby apartment building, but there was heat damage to a nearby car.
