Two people from Paso Robles are facing charges after the San Luis Obispo County Regional SWAT team executed a search warrant early Wednesday morning in the 100 block of Santa Ynez. Avenue in Paso Robles.
Around 6 a.m., Paso Robles Police say the SWAT team used diversionary devises, or flash bangs, while serving the warrant, which the Paso Robles Police Department's Special Enforcement Team received after many months of its narcotics investigation.
Officials say the suspects, Enrique Rubio, 30, and Evette Honesto, 32, were considered high-risk due to suspected involvement in criminal street gangs along with previous weapons violations and resisting arrest.
Officials say during their search of the home, 1.3 grams of heroin were seized, along with 11 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and scales. They say there were also indications of criminal street gang involvement.
Rubio and Honesto are both facing misdemeanor and felony charges.
