Search warrant, narcotics investigation leads to 8 arrests

Eight people were arrested and various drugs were seized after a search warrant was served in Arroyo Grande Thursday, according to police.

The arrests came after a five-month narcotics investigation.

Police say officers and a police K-9 found heroine, methamphetamine, cocaine, and cash after serving the search warrant in the 1000 block of Sunset Drive around 7 a.m.

Eight of the 10 people in or around the home at that time were arrested.

The house was also red tagged and deemed uninhabitable because of electrical issues and other hazards, police say, and three dogs were turned over to animal control.

Those arrested were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail and are facing various charges.
