Search warrant reveals Hook's alleged sexual acts took place in classroom

A search warrant obtained by KSBY News reveals graphic details about an alleged sexual relationship between a Pioneer Valley High School teacher and a 16-year old student.

Brian Hook is a 53-year old social science teacher and the varsity girls basketball coach at the school in Santa Maria. Hook was arrested on February 20 in Orcutt and has been charged with multiple sexual acts with a minor.

The felony charges filed include one count of oral copulation with a person under the age of 18 and one count of sexual penetration with a person under the age of 18. The District Attorney's Office says those charges allegedly occurred on or around January 14 of this year.

Hook is also charged with an additional count of oral copulation with a person under the age of 18 and one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, which the DA's Office says allegedly happened on or around Feb. 13 of this year.

The search warrant, released by the Santa Barbara County Superior Court, illustrates an alleged sexual relationship between Hook and the teen since October 2013.

The girl is referred to as Jane Doe #1 in the search warrant. Jane Doe #1 was interviewed by Santa Maria Police on February 19, and told police, "he didn't do anything, he never came on to me, I'm the one who came on to him". She said she kissed Mr. Hook after class in October, and Mr. Hook, "told her the following day he liked it, but it was dangerous because he could get into trouble".

Multiple sexual acts took place in Hook's classroom, according to the search warrant.

KSBY reached out to the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District for a comment, but no one responded to us by airtime.

The search warrant said Jane Doe #1 was able to describe Hook's home, details of Hook's body, and which hotel they had sexual acts in. Evidence, including Hook's DNA, comforters and pillows, and a cell phone have been collected for the case against him.

The search warrant also said that Jane Doe #1 had received a voicemail back in November from a woman identified as Mrs. Hook, and "tells Jane Doe #1 by name to stop contacting her husband because it is inappropriate".

Hook's wife works as an administrative assistant at Pioneer Valley High School, and they have five children.

Hook entered a not guilty plea on Friday. He remains in jail on $100,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for this Thursday.
