Searchers look for child missing in Ventura County

SANTA PAULA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a 4-year-old boy whose parents say the child wandered off into a rural area of Ventura County in intense heat.
KCAL9/CBS television (http://cbsloc.al/Swf01P ) reports the parents alerted authorities that the child went missing north of the city of Santa Paula at about 10:40 a.m. Monday.
It's unclear how long the boy had been missing before authorities were alerted. Temperatures were in the high 90s in the Santa Paula area Monday.
The child was last seen wearing a Lakers jersey.
