KSBY teamed up with local food banks, toy agencies, fire departments, and sponsors to kick off Season of Hope Monday.
It's a major effort to make this coming holiday season brighter for those still struggling to recover from our tough economic times.
If you'd like to participate, please bring non-perishable food items to any local fire station or sponsor from October 15 through December 14. Our partners will work with local food banks to get the food to people on the Central Coast who need it.
Also, from November 16 through December 14, you can help by dropping off new, unwrapped toys to participating sponsor locations and area fire stations. The toys will be distributed to local children who may not otherwise receive a toy during the holiday season.

To celebrate the kickoff of Season of Hope, KSBY's Dave Hovde and Nikki Ibarra will be live from Santa Maria on KSBY News at 5 and 6 p.m. Monday.
