According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, officers got reports of another bear sighting in the city around midnight last night. The first call came in at about midnight.

Someone reported seeing a bear in the area of Flora and Sydney Streets. Police have contacted fish and game. The Department of Fish and Game says the best thing to do is to let the bear go back into the wild. Officials say trapping and relocating bears tends to be ineffective.

Fish and Game says this is likely the same bear spotted in the early morning hours Wednesday. That bear ate a pet chicken at a home on San Luis Drive.

Experts are warning people living in the area to bring in their trash cans, and pick up any loose fruit that may have fallen from trees.
