Security tightened for holiday shoppers

Preparing for the busiest shopping day of the year -- retailers are beefing up security for Friday's rush of bargain hunting holiday shoppers. Last year's trampling death of a Wal-Mart employee and a shooting inside of a Toys R Us on the day after Thanksgiving, have increased concerns about shopping safety. Retailers are vowing to step up efforts to control crowds. More in-store assistance will be available and most stores will have extended hours. Central Coast stores are in line to beef up security.
