See smoke in the sky? Crews performing prescribed burn in Atascadero today

If you live in or are passing through northern San Luis Obispo Friday, you may see some smoke in the sky.
CAL FIRE says it is performing a prescribed burn in southeast Atascadero. The burn is located at the eastern end of Santa Clara Road.
CAL FIRE says the burn serves as a training exercise for the fire crew involved. The agency says this burn will provide firefighters with the opportunity to train with live fire and gain experience in various containment techniques.
The burn is expected to last from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Crews say smoke will most likely be visible for about two of those hours.
