Seminar this weekend in Atascadero aims to help arthritis sufferers

If you are one of 27 million Americans suffering from arthritis, a local event on Saturday aims to help.

A free, educational seminar, called Get Smart About Arthritis, is being held at the Atascadero Lake Pavillion from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Amy Leong, an internationally-recognized motivational speaker, patient advocate and author of "Idiot's Guide to Arthritis" will lead local healthcare specialists in a discuss about arthritis, its affects on the body, treatment options, exercise techniques and lifestyle management.

Sierra Vista Medical Center and Twin Cities Hospitals teamed up with the arthritis foundation to host the seminar.
