Several heat records fall Monday

Santa Maria hot 100 degrees Monday breaking the standing record of 95 in 1980. San Luis Obispo set a record at the airport with 104 degrees, the standing record at the airport was just 94 however in 1980 at Cal Poly it was 107 back in 1980, and Cal Poly only reached 104 today.

Psao Robles narrowly missed a record with 105 degrees. 106 was the standing record set in 1980.

(Santa Barbara was 88 today with the standing record of 92 in 1965)

Tuesday also looks hot, perhaps just a few degrees cooler as onshore winds likely develop an hour or so earlier than they did today.
