A former Boy Scout, who was sexually abused by a troop leader, filed a lawsuit today against the Boy Scouts of America. He wants the organization to reverse its decades-old policy of concealment regarding the sexual abuse of Scouts.

In February 2008, troop leader Albert Stein was charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse and pled no contest to two of them. Stein was convicted and is currently serving jail time.

The lawsuit says scout leadership discouraged his parents from reporting the abuse to law enforcement, claiming the organization would investigate the matter internally.
