Cambria Fire Department says a great white shark took a bite out of a kayaker's boat in Cambria Saturday afternoon.

It happened North of Leffingwell Landing, about 150 yards from shore.

The boater tells KSBY that the attack threw him into the water, and the 15 foot great white swam right by him.

No one was hurt and Cambria Fire says there are signs warning people in the area about the attack.
