The Cuesta College basketball teams completed a sweep over visiting Oxnard College on Wednesday night. It marked the third-straight Western State Conference wins for both programs.
The men won 65-50 to improve to 5-1 in conference and 17-7 overall. The Cougars were led by Calen Coleman, the reigning WSC Player of the Week, scored 14 points. The Cougars host Oxnard Saturday night at 7pm. Both teams will enter that game tied for first place.
The Cuesta women outlasted Oxnard 71-59 to improve to 4-2 in league and 12-9 overall. Paso Robles High graduate Kati Sheldon, the reigning WSC Player of the Week, led the Cougars with 17 points.
