Sheriff's Dept. employee accused of being under the influence of drugs on the job

A Santa Barbara man is arrested, accused of being under the influence of drugs while at his job working for the sheriff's department. Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies say 41-year-old Olaf Wierda was found to be on drugs and was taken into custody at about 1 p.m. Thursday at sheriff's headquarters. That's on Calle Real in the Santa Barbara area. Wierda works as a computer systems technician for the sheriff's office. He was booked into jail on various drug charges.
