Sheriff's Office helps high school with spin bikes

Nipomo High School is thanking the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office for help keeping students active.

School officials say the spin bikes in the high school's Fitness Center needed repair, and after Physical Education teacher Laurie Owens sent Sheriff Ian Parkinson a letter,
the Sheriff's Office stepped up to help.

Now, the students are back on their spin bikes. The bikes are used as one type of cardiovascular training.

Nipomo High School also wants to send a big thank you to Sgt. Tim Moore, who oversees the bike program at the Sheriff's Office.
