Sheriff's deputies say they've solved a string of thefts in Northern San Luis Obispo County.
Seven theft cases are linked to 38-year-old Shelly Renee Davis and 33-year-old Gustavo Dejesus. Deputies say they stole brass sculptures from front yards, and then traded them for cash.
A salvage yard employee became suspicious and alerted investigators. Deputies say the stolen items are valued at $40,000. Both suspects are in jail on grand theft charges.
