Caltrans has announced that Hwy. 46 will be closed in both directions for five to ten minutes at Union Road, eight miles east of Paso Robles, on Tuesday, January 5 at 9:30 a.m.
The closure will allow PG and E crews to remove electrical conductors across the highway. This work is in advance of the second phase of widening Hwy. 46 from two to four lanes from Geneseo Road to Almond Drive.
That project is expected to start in the Summer of 2010, and will cost $80 million.
