Shots fired after apparent road rage incident

Santa Maria police officers responded to a report of shots fired in Santa Maria this afternoon.
It happened near the area of West Fesler and North Railroad just after 1:00 p.m. Witnesses say they first saw two vehicles racing in the 500 block of West Chapel. One vehicle was a green Cadillac or Oldsmobile, and the other was a white four-door Honda or Acura.
Something happened between the occupants of the two vehicles, and shots were fired. The vehicles were last seen traveling northbound on North Railroad. Anyone with information is urged to call the police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-800-9100.
