A single dose antibiotic is showing promise for hard to treat skin infections.
Researchers at Duke University School of Medicine say an IV drug is as effective as an infusion given twice a day for 10 days in treating MRSA.
The skin infection is difficult to treat with the most common antibiotics.
The FDA hasn't approved the new antibiotic yet, but experts say it could prevent or reduce hospitalizations.
