A new report proves our health may be affected by where we live.
The fifth edition of "County Health Rankings" shows there are still big gaps between the nation's healthiest and unhealthiest counties.
The report analyzed 29 factors that impact health, including smoking, graduation rates, unemployment, and access to healthy foods.
Researchers say the least healthy counties have twice the death rate, twice as many children living in poverty, and twice the teen birth rate compared to the healthiest counties.
Statewide, San Luis Obispo County ranked as the ninth healthiest county. Santa Barbara County ranked at number 16.
Marin County was the healthiest county in the state.
