SLO Fire Department fires John Ryan Mason

The San Luis Obispo Fire firefighter accused of beating another man unconscious at Pappy McGregor's no longer works for the city of San Luis Obispo.
Officials say Tuesday was his last day as an employee. At this time, they're not releasing any information as to why he was fired.
Mason allegedly got in a fight with another man in the bathroom at Pappy McGregor's back in June 2011.
