Central Coast Olympian Jeff Powers and the U.S. men's water polo team continue their quests for Olympic Gold on Tuesday against Romania.
The American men won their first match 8-7 over Montenegro on Sunday. Powers had one assist in the victory.
The 32 year old San Luis Obispo High graduate scored 6 goals in Beijing when the Americans won a Silver medal to return to the podium for the first time since 1988.
Santa Barbara native Terry Schroeder is the team's head coach and participating in his sixth Olympics. He won two Silvers in four trips to the Olympics as a player.
Romania beat Great Britain 13-4 in its opener and is playing in its first Olympics since 1996.
You can catch Powers and Team USA play on KSBY from 1:40-3 pm on Tuesday afternoon. The game is almost a must-win for the Americans, who play Serbia and defending Gold medalist Hungary in their final two matches of pool play.
