You wouldn't normally think of farming being connected to a surf adventure... but that's just what part of the motivation was for a three central coast surfers.
Join Dan Malloy, Kellen Keene and Kanoa Zimmerman took a bicycle "road trip" down the California Coast to see what they would discover by slowing the pace of their journey.
Their new book "Slow is Fast" documents the farmers, craftfolk and surfers they met on their 50-day, 700-mile bicycle adventure. They did a book signing at Harmony House Yoga studio tonight, and premiered the "Moving Pictures", a short film adapted from the book. "On this trip I learned more about the people and places along the California coast than I had in 34 years and a thousand trips by car." says Malloy.
The men will be doing similar gatherings up and down the coast.
