The Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival is wrapping up on Saturday, and some of the smallest participants were making sure to get in on the action.
A Diaper Derby was held at the Rotary Bandstand Saturday afternoon.
Babies and toddlers, from 6-months-old to 3-years-old, were crawling, toddling, and racing for a chance to come in first, second or third place in different categories.
Some of the moms had fun joking about the training they put their children through for the event.
They said their children trained for the derby by doing military crawls down the hall daily, crawling over sofa cushions, under dog's legs, and even under tables.
One mom's secret weapon was to put her daughter's dad at the finish line, since he is her daughter's favorite person.
The winners received a trophy, and all the competitors were rewarded with a participation certificate.
