Small vegetation fire contained near Lake Cachuma

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department was called out to a small vegetation fire burning near Lake Cachuma on Hwy 154.

The fire broke out just after 12:45 Thursday afternoon. Fire crews were able to swiftly gain control of the fire and contain it to burning about a half an acre.

Official say the fire was slow spreading and contained within an hour.
