Smoking appears to impact risk for developing cataracts

Whether or not you smoke could predict your risk for developing cataracts, which is a common medical condition that causes blurred vision.

Researchers in Sweden found middle-aged men who smoked more than 15 cigarettes a day were 42% more likely to have cataract surgery.

If they quit, researchers found those same men could cut that risk in half after 20 years.
