SMPD still searching for driver involved in fatal accident and carjacking

Santa Maria Police identified the victim of Sunday night's fatal crash on South Blosser Road, but they're still looking for the man who was driving the car. Police say the driver crashed a stolen car into a light pole on the 700 block of South Blosser Road. 24-year-old Tina Antoinette Ramos was a passenger in the car. She was thrown out of the car, and she died. The driver of the car then carjacked two people at gunpoint and drove away with them in the car. Eventually, he stopped and ran away. Police are still looking for him, and they haven't released a description of what he looks like. They say the people who were carjacked are safe.
