Snow Leopard Festival brings snow to the zoo

80 tons of snow helped to create a winter wonderland at the Santa Barbara Zoo on Sunday. It was part of their Snow Leopard Festival.

Kids were able to sled and play in the snow.

The white frost is stimulating for the animals at the zoo who are native to freezing environments, including the two snow leopards who live there.

The festival celebrates a new global conservation initiative among 12 Asian countries to ensure that snow leopards thrive in their natural environments and to combat poaching.
