The Templeton Fire Department is asking some residents to stay indoors while crews work to repair power lines that fell after a vehicle ran into a power pole Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened on Old County Road between 6th Street and 8th Streets, and residents in the area are without power. PG&E crews are on scene and are working to restore power as quickly as is safely possible.
The driver of the vehicle is out and is not hurt. Residents in homes on Old County Road between 6th Street and 8th Street are being asked to stay inside because the lines brought down multiple power poles and are presenting a safety risk, Templeton Fire Chief Jim Langborg said.
PG&E hopes to have the lines and power poles fixed by 5:30 p.m., and power restored sometime shortly after that.
