Wind advisories are in place for the Central Coast Tuesday for NW winds 15-25mph with gusts thru 40mph from noon thru 9pm.
There is also a wind advisory for the Santa Barbara county mountains and the passes and canyons of the Southcoast Tuesday through 9am Wednesday for NW winds 20-30 gusting to 45mph. Winds will be strong in passes and canyons and could impact some vehicles.
An approaching trough of low pressure and strengthening onshore flow will bring a cooling trend and gusty winds to much of the area through Tuesday. Patches of drizzle associated with a heavier marine layer is possible.
Below normal temperatures linger into Wednesday then warming is expected for the second half of the week and into the weekend as high pressure returns.
