South County resident dies after being hit by a car

A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car in Arroyo Grande early Friday morning.
It happened near the intersection of Mesa View Road North and Halcyon around 6:00 a.m.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Chelsea Brunelle from South County was walking in the roadway when she was hit by an oncoming pickup truck.
The Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate.
