All southbound lanes of Highway 101 are now clear after a morning big rig accident that blocked the lanes just north of the Cuesta Summit.

That accident happened at about 7:00a.m. Friday. A semi-truck apparently jack-knifed on the highway, blocking the middle and right lanes. A California Highway Patrol SigAlert was issued, but it was lifted at 8:15a.m. However, officers say it will take a while to clear the traffic that was backed up to Highway 58 near Santa Margarita.
