A special day class at Laguna Middle School has something to look forward to this spring thanks to KSBY and SLO Dental's One Class at a Time Grant.

The $250 grant was presented to Holly Perez' class in San Luis Obispo Thursday morning.

Her six students will now be able to participate in the Special Olympic games at Cuesta College coming up on May 4. The money will be used for transportation.

"Personally, I've never been part of it so that's why I'm really excited and these kids, the Special Olympics, all kids get to be winners and they get to be stars for a day," said Perez.
