State Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner visits San Luis Obispo

One of the Republican candidates for governor campaigns on the Central Coast tonight.

State Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner is expected to speak to the Republican party of San Luis Obispo tonight. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.

Poizner is up against former eBay CEO Meg Whitman for the seat. California Attorney General Jerry Brown is the only democrat expected to run in the race, but he has not officially announced his candidacy.
