The St.Joseph girl's basketball team advanced to the CIF State Regional semifinals on Thursday. The Lady Knights beat LACES in Los Angeles 70-48 in the quarterfinals.
St.Joe took control early and held on to win despite missing star guard Kelsi English, who's sore knee kept her out of the game.
Aly Beebe dominated inside and finished with a team best 20 points and 17 rebounds. Senior forward Analise Riezebos added 16 points for the Knights, Brianna Bognuda poured in 15 and Heather Madrigal added 12 points.
St.Joe will play at top seeded Harvard Westlake in the semifinals on Saturday night at 7 pm. Harvard Westlake beat Bell-Jeff 61-59 in the quarterfinals.
