Stone Soup Music Festival brings unique music to Grover Beach

The 22nd Annual Stone Soup Music Festival kicked off Saturday morning in Grover Beach. The festival is based off old folk stories where everyone in the town would bring an ingredient to add to a big pot of soup. Just like the unique ingredients, the bands at the music festival are all different. Guests can catch everything from Celtic music to Mexican Pop. "It builds up, and eventually, the whole town has pitched in and they've got a great soup that was supposedly made from a stone, but it's got a little bit of everything, so the whole idea is that, you know, when you put a lot of efforts together, you can come up with something amazing," said Anthony Salas, the Event Chair. The free event also features foods from around the world. It continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ramona Garden Park.
