Black Friday is starting earlier than ever before this year. Stores like Best Buy are opening on Thursday night. The store is opening its doors at 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving and staying open for 28 hours straight. This is the earliest Best Buy has ever started their Black Friday sale, and they won't be the only ones open. Stores like Walmart and Target are also opening on Thanksgiving evening. Best Buy's San Luis Obispo general manager Mathew Jordan says last year, the earliest Black Friday camper showed up outside the store on Monday. "Honestly, I think it's going to be bigger lines this year," Jordan says. "A lot of people don't like waking up at 3:00 a.m., but 6:00 in the evening, we're expecting actually bigger lines than we have before, so it's going to be exciting." Jordan says Best Buy keeps their Black Friday sale safe by handing out vouchers for high demand items to people in line before the event, so there's no reason for customers to rush when the doors open. He says he expects tablets, flat panel TVs and cell phones to be the highest-selling items during the sale. Best Buy will be open from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday night to 10:00 p.m. on Friday.
