A strong smell leads police to a marijuana growing and selling operation in Paso Robles.
The Paso Robles Police Department says they got a search warrant for a house on the 800 block of Oxen Street, after neighbors reported a strong smell of pot coming from the residence.
They also reported a green house in the backyard.
Officers say when they entered the home, they found 75 pounds of marijuana, as well as a sophisticated cultivation system with irrigation, lights, fertilizer and drying systems, all in the backyard.
Officers say they also seized materials related to weighing, packaging and sales of marijuana.
Shaun Michael Sweetin, 32, of Paso Robles, was arrested and booked into county jail on four felony counts related to the cultivation, possession and distribution of a controlled substance.
The investigation has been turned over to the San Luis Obispo Narcotics Task Force for follow-up.
