Six students with special needs joined the rest of their class to walk for the Atascadero High School graduation ceremony.
Normally the six would attend another ceremony, but Atascadero High School offered those students a chance to walk at the entire school's ceremony. Parents say this is a big triumph for them and the kids.
"They've been so excited for months, all we hear is June 13th, June 13th, so it's really exciting," said Cecile Alessi, Parent of a Graduate.
Atascadero High School has also started a new transitional program that allows students to continue their education there instead of travelling of Paso Robles to attend a similar program.
