They've become a childhood birthday party staple, but injuries related to bounce houses are on the rise.
New research from Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio shows that since 1990, more than 64,000 kids have had to go to the emergency room after getting hurt on an inflatable bouncer.
Between 2008 and 2010, the number of such pediatric injuries more than doubled to an average of 31 a day.
Broken bones and sprains of the arms and legs were the most common injuries.
