It has been a throwback last couple of days in the city of Arroyo Grande. On Saturday the city celebrated its Centennial Birthday with residents 90 years old and up.
On Sunday the city's summer concert series featured music from the 1920s. The free event rocked the Rotary Bandstand in Arroyo Grande. The San Luis Obispo County Band brought the music to life by playing some of the old favorites.
"The Village Association and the Parks Department sponsors the summer concert series, and we have additional sponsors that contribute to making it worthwhile to put on the kind of performances that we do," said Bob Lund of the Village Improvement Association.
This summer's concert series will feature a different decade of music and culture from the past 100 years every Sunday through September 18.
