It's a sign spring is here. The Cliffs Hotel and Resort opens it's "Live on the Rocks" music series this weekend with The Spasmatics and Miner entertaining folks seaside Sunday afternoon.
Live on the Rocks is a series of Sunday afternoon concerts from a stage overlooking the lawn below Marisol restaurant and the Pacific Ocean.
This Sunday, Los Angeles-based Miner will kick things off. Miner describes itself as "lovers and friends singing west coast hymns." Front-man Justin Miner recruited his wife Kate, brother Jeremy and some close friends to help prepare the group's debut EP, "Hey Love" coming out in August.
The headliner Sunday is the group The Spasmatics. If you're a fan of the awesome styles and sounds of the 80's and like to dance, you'll likely love the Spasmatics. Complete with skinny ties, Brill Creamed hair, and horn-rimmed glasses, The Spazmatics recapture all the best of the worst of the decade many would like to forget.
The concerts are free with table reservations available for those who purchase brunch.
