Surfing for Hope: A Benefit for the Hearst Cancer Resource Center

Surfing for Hope is coming up on November 9 & 10, a benefit for the Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital Medical Center.

The event includes a Memorial Paddle Out at 4pm (the Paddle Out will be at 5pm) at Avila Beach to honor friends and loved ones who have lost their battles with cancer, followed by the Surfing for Hope Benefit Dinner at 7pm Friday, November 9 at the Avila Beach Golf Resort (hors d'oeuvres and cocktails begin at 6pm).

There will be an auction with surf-themed items including luxury surf travel packages, Jack Johnson signed ukuleles, music and dancing with the Zongo All-Stars.

Tickets are $100 per person or $800 for a VIP table of eight. All proceeds benefit the Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital Medical Center.

On Saturday, November 10 there will be a longboard surfing contest at the Pismo Beach Pier.
