Surveillance photos released of hit and run suspect

California Highway Patrol investigators have released surveillance photos of the man accused of causing a deadly crash last weekend in Santa Maria.

Investigators say these photos were taken after the crash at Jack in the Box in Orcutt.

A person there recognized Betancourt from a prior mug shot that was broadcasted on the news and alerted authorities.

Betancourt is accused of driving the wrong way on Highway 1-0-1, and causing a chain of crashes that killed a 10-year-old Anaheim girl.
