Suspect identified in San Miguel shooting

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department has identified the man believed to be responsible for the shooting in San Miguel on March 20.

Detectives are on the lookout for Jose Manuel Alcaraz, 24, from Paso Robles.

Alcaraz is believed to be headed for Sinaloa, Mexico. He is associated with a white Nissan Altima or a dark gray Dodge Charger, with a California license plate number 6PCF021. Detectives say Alcaraz is Hispanic, 5'6, and weighs 165 lbs.

The sheriff's department says Alcaraz is believed to be armed, and anyone who encounters him should call 911 immediately.
