Tense moments for a San Luis Obispo man, after police officers say he walked in on another man burglarizing his apartment.
San Luis Obispo police officers say 21-year-old Brian Sinclair arrived at his apartment on the 2100 blk. of Murray St. at about 1:00a.m. Friday. Sinclair told officers he saw a man unplugging and taking electronics inside of his apartment. Sinclair told officers he decided to confront the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Adrian Garcia, and some sort of struggle took place. Garcia was able to get away.
That's when officers got to the scene and searched another nearby apartment in which Sinclair saw the suspect flee. Garcia was found and identified as the suspect, and taken into custody with out incident.
Garcia is booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on burglary charges. His bail is set at $40,000.
